You are viewing a second hand, pre-loved 14″ x 4″ piccolo snare drum.

I really have no idea what make this drum is, as unfortunately, the badge has fallen off. It is a 14″ diameter by 4″ depth brass shell, with 10 lugs. Matching brass coloured hoops set this drum off nicely. The snare mechanism is basic, but operational. It comes with a hazy/coated batter head and clear snare side head – both are unbranded and intact; the snare wires are missing one strand. The general condition of this drum is good, though with some pitting/patina to the shell and signs of wear to the rims (see pic).

This drum is in good working order and sonically, achieves pretty music everything you might expect from a brass piccolo snare drum: The thin depth accentuates mid to high end harmonics, but potential ‘harshness’ is tempered by the brass construction (compared, certainly, to steel drums with these dimensions).
