Formed by Lee Allatson in 2017, The Fourmasons is a collective of Midlands based jazz musicians from diverse backgrounds in music. The band typically performs in a variety of trio, quartet and quintet formats.

Led by drummer Lee Allatson (Paul Dunmall/John Russell/Prince Buster/Dawn Penn/Bill Drummond) with Peter Houtman (piano: Alan Skidmore/Dick Pearce), Fino Lopes (guitar: George Martin/David Murray), Steve Nutter (bass: Rico Rodriguez/Stan Barker/Clark Tracey) and Ryan West (tenor sax: Jazz Colossus/Liane Carroll/Tom Grennan/Mr Switch).
The band plays a regular schedule of monthly residency events (see below) and are also available to book for private functions.
The Fourmasons live set combines classic jazz standards, Modern and Contemporary tunes, plus a variety of Latin American and World music styles. Tunes by the likes of Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Hermeto Pascoal, Dexter Gordon, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Henry Mancini, Charlie Parker and Duke Ellington. The band also include original tunes and arrangements written by the band.
The Fourmasons programme of monthly residency events features a variety of rotating line ups, tune repertoire and instrumentation. The band also feature invited guest musicians, which has attracted prominent names from the UK jazz scene, including Alex Clarke (BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year finalist), Eddie Parker (Loose Tubes) and Martin Speake, as well as top Midlands players like Wayne Matthews, Matt Ratcliffe, Ian Hill, Steve O’Gorman, Richard Baker, Mellow Baku, Mike Sole, Rachel Johnson, Mark Trounson, Rob Charles, Gary Reader, James Tartaglia and many more.
Jazz on A Friday Evening is every first Friday of the month from 6pm at The Bottle Garden bar in Leicester.
A contemporary setting for an early start to your weekend. The Fourmasons provide trio jazz, lead by sax, piano or guitar.

Bluehouse Jazz is every first Sunday of the month at the Beerhouse in Market Harborough.
An informal affair, featuring the house trio of Boris, Fino and Lee plus a fine array of real ales!
Anything goes – with regular special guests. It’s free entry and music starts at 3pm.
Latin Night is every second Friday of the month from 7pm at 45 West bar in Leicester.
A sparkling night of Latin jazz tunes by the likes of Sergio Mendes, Herbie Hancock, Santana and Hermeto in this beautiful ‘Great Gatsby’ styled bar. A 3Masons trio of Ryan, Fino and Lee.
No need to book – admission is free and music starts at 7pm.
Jazz on A Sunday Afternoon The big one! Every last Sunday of the month from 3pm at The Bottle Garden in Leicester.
This is a three-set-feature through ’til 6pm: It’s all about the music, with larger ensembles, special guests, premium drinks and brunch!
The event is free admission but regularly sells out, so pre-booking is essential.

Featuring live recordings made at Peggy’s Skylight (Nottingham), The Bottle Garden (Leicester) and The Beerhouse (Market Harborough). The album contains a mix of live recordings of Fourmasons set favourites plus studio recordings of original tunes penned by the band.
